Conceived at the Institute of Development Studies in 2009 with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, ALINE began as the Agricultural Learning and Impacts Network (ALINe) with a mission to link learning and impact in the agricultural development sector. Since then we have been working with governments, foundations, the private sector, bilateral donors, NGOs and smallholder farmers to support positive change through a credible and rigorous approach. As the scope of our work expanded beyond agriculture over the years, we re-branded simply to ALINE.
In 2012, ALINE was hosted by Firetail Limited, where we continued to grow our track record of delivering effective and user-oriented strategy, evaluation and learning services to clients around the world.
ALINE became an independent entity in 2018, to build on our track record and increase our ability to help others achieve positive, inclusive and sustainable social change.
Since 2010, ALINE has worked with over 250 clients in 22 countries across Africa, South Asia and South-East Asia.
Over the years, we have developed an extensive network of experienced and qualified individuals and firms across the countries where we work. We see our trusted partners as integral to our commitment to delivering high-quality and contextually-relevant services to our clients.
